Village Park - Live at their Private Home Studio in Encinitas

We had the pleasure of filming and recording the intimate stripped down live performance of Village Park members Nico and Luca in their private home studio in the hills of Encinitas.  The second you walk into this home studio you immediately recognize that the collection of equipment from the last century is nothing short of the best pieces in music.  An original Fender Rhodes Electric Piano and classic Jensen speakers in the cab, Moog Sub Fatty synths, Nord electric synth stations, vintage baby grand pianos, and countless other treasures.

We were able to track two songs, one cover of "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood and a Village Park original "Play Pretend".  With just a voice, a Rhodes, and a Taylor guitar these musicians filled the entire live room with not just music, but a vibe that captures the laid back essence of Southern California and the age of coming to reason.

Warming up your hands is a good idea before any take.. luckily these guys killed it one try.
